Thanks to this year's World Cup, Americans suddenly became a bit more interested in soccer (Tim Howard, we love you!). Once a sport seemingly overlooked in the United States — it's hard to keep up with basketball, baseball, and football, after all — we've all come to love soccer players for their strength, their drive, and their ridiculous good looks. On Wednesday, July 30, players from the iconic FC Bayern Munich team, in partnership with Audi, hosted a pick-up game under the Brooklyn Bridge, celebrating the sport's increasing domestic popularity, as well as the Audi Football Summit.
Over 200 spectators, including the FC Bayern New York fan club, turned out to cheer on the team's legends like Giovane Elber, Markus Babbel, Paul Breitner, and Paulo Sergio, who were playing alongside — and against — celebrities including Glee's Kevin McHale, Josh Henderson from Dallas, and Vampire Weekend's Chris Tomson.
