Emma Stone Adorably Convinces Us Ghosts Are Real

Emma Stone never got a chance to meet her grandfather before he passed away, but he still leaves her quarters every now and then. (Say what?) The actress told David Letterman on The Late Show Wednesday night she sometimes has metaphysical encounters. The quarters she often finds come from a family tradition, she claims. "My grandfather leaves quarters. It's him. It's absolutely him."

David Letterman is having none of this.

The late night host says he wishes he could believe her, but supernatural encounters have simply never been scientifically proven. "That's the joy of it. It's not a logical thing. It's magical," Stone strikes back. "Like ectoplasm."

Someone get this girl a jumpsuit and an oversized backpack, because she just dropped a pretty incredible Ghostbusters reference. There's just something about Stone's story that makes us say, "We're ready to believe you." (Us Weekly)
