Barbie Gets A Shiny New #GIRLBOSS Position

Barbie’s had more careers than we can shake a stick at. Paleontologist, doctor, arctic rescuer... She’s kind of done it all. Call her incredibly indecisive or just pretty damn ambitious, but you can’t hate on her professional adaptability over the years — even despite the controversy around her body image.

And, perhaps in her most progressive position yet, Barbie’s channeling her inner #GIRLBOSS and branching out on her own. (She’s come a long way since “student teacher.”) For summer '14, she is helming her own career as Entrepreneur Barbie (complete with an array of techie toys and her very own LinkedIn account) and is drawing inspo from some of the top CEOs in the game. From One Kings Lane’s Ali Pincus and Susan Feldman to Girls Who Code-founder Reshma Saujani, tips and pro intel will be available on the related site. The doll is slated to hit shelves this summer.
