Lorde's Parents Are Getting Married After 30 Years Of Un-Wedded Bliss

Did you know Lorde's parents have been together for nearly 30 years but have never married? Well, now you do. And, now that's about to change. Lorde shared on Twitter that her dad finally popped the question to her mom at Niagara Falls on Monday. The family was tooling around Toronto following Lorde's performance at the MuchMusic Video Awards on Monday, and their Kiwi kiddo commemorated the big moment with a tweet worthy of such a romantic event. A tweet filled with a dozen-strong heart-and-smiley emoji explosion.

Oh, and remember the opening line of "Royals"? The irony was not lost on the singer. "Inevitable response yes I know I have seen a diamond now," she tweeted. (Huffington Post)
