There's more to Netflix's original programming than just political intrigue and prison scissoring. The streaming service and budding production company has approved a new series based on Scholastic's Magic School Bus TV series, according to the New York Times.
The new show, called The Magic School Bus 360°, has been greenlit for 26 half-hour episodes, airing in 2016. The show will be computer-animated and feature a "modernized" Ms. Frizzle, who was originally voiced by Lily Tomlin. The young scientists' gear (and, ostensibly, their adventures) will also be updated for the new millennium. Remember, the PBS version of the show, which ran from 1994 to 1997, was limited to taking its titular bus through the squishy parts of the human body.
We're definitely rooting for some Clifford mischief. Remember that time he went to the hospital? (New York Times)
