If you've spent any time around these parts, you know we have a serious lipstick problem. Whether it's pale orange or opaque lilac, the ladies of R29 Beauty are relentlessly on lip watch, just as some unnamed publications are on bump watch. What can we say? We love a cute celeb in a daring shade. And, at the top of our lipstick-queens list is, undoubtedly, our lady Lorde.
The Cut has reported that the teen star is in cahoots with MAC on a new makeup line. Lorde admits to the website that she is a personal fan ("I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14!"), and she hopes fans love the products as much as she does. As far as what exactly the line will include, it's a pretty safe bet to assume there will be a deep, dark lipstick shade involved (a MAC face chart on The Cut features pouty plum lips). But, as evidenced by the electric-violet color she wore back in November, we're guessing that the line could include a whole rainbow of possibilities. This beauty is nothing if not surprising.
So, now that The Cut has officially whet our (beauty) appetites, there's nothing left to do but wait, impatiently, for Lorde's new primpers to hit shelves. (The Cut)

While deep purple isn't a typical summer shade, we have a feeling that this particular hue will be making quite a splash when it launches online on June 5 (the products will also be available in MAC's Times Square and Fifth Avenue stores until July 3). Now, excuse us while we practice our best too-cool teenage stare — we've gotta get ourselves ready to rock that royal-violet lip.
