Spring has (finally!) arrived, which means New Yorkers can run, walk, and bike outside again without the risk of frostbite. And, what better way to celebrate the season than with a new two-wheeler? Sure, CitiBike has proven to be an affordable, convenient, and reliable option for getting around the city. But, there's something about having a bicycle that's all your own — even better if your new wheels are seriously well-designed. Enter Martone Cycling Co., the maker of some of the chicest bikes we ever did see.
To celebrate Martone's first anniversary, it's opening up a pop-up shop in the ground-floor retail space at Time Square's Paramount Hotel. During the month of April, you can browse the company's core collection of men and women's bikes, along with new models available for pre-order. The MC2 is a manual bike that comes in orange, blue, and matte gray. The Marton-E is a sustainable e-bike with a rechargeable battery that lasts up to four hours per use. Shoppers are invited to give the bikes a test ride to get a feel for which model fits best for your cycling needs. Oh, and don't forget to peruse the T-shirts, water bottles, iPhone cases, and more while you're there.
So, stroll on over to West 46th Street the next time the sun's out. You might find yourself cycling home on your new, sleek ride.
