New Coke Ads Solve One Of The Great Social Ills Of Our Time

Commercials can do so much more than make us buy things these days. They make us laugh. They make us cry. They also kind of turn us on. Now, one of the biggest beverage companies in the world is using its marketing power to tackle one of modern society's great social ills — making noise at the movies.
Now, we know that talking, or slurping, in certain movies is just fine and, perhaps even encouraged. Frankly, if we don't hear someone shout, "don't go in there!" to a witless future onscreen victim during a horror film, we don't feel like we've got our money's worth. Chatting or sipping during a tender, steamy embrace in a period drama, however, threatens the foundations of civilized society itself.

Coke is stepping forward to fight that with a cute series of videos to be shown before films that...well...we wouldn't want to spoil the effect. Suffice to say, if these ads don't get you to shut your fool mouth at the movies, pretty much nothing will.
Click on the first of the series below, and continue through the slideshow to see the rest. Oh, and please do be quiet about it. (AdFreak)
