Tory Burch’s Pressed-Powder Technique For Busy Ladies

In the makeup world, there's been a recent influx of compacts that contain colors without boundaries. Women who have a free-spirited approach to beauty will probably dive right into these. But, we foresee an issue amongst those Type-A makeup wearers who might have a more rigid approach to the way they paint their faces. (There's nothing wrong with that, just saying.)
So, we were relieved to see this Into The Gloss interview with Tory Burch during which she explains the thinking behind her (admittedly, gorgeous) new tricolor palette. And, turns out, this was created with the super-busy working woman in mind. As Burch told ITG, "When we developed this collection, our approach was to make products that could be used quickly and effortlessly. I don’t have time to put on 10 different things." So, the colors can be combined together using one big brush, and then applied to one's cheeks. It creates an effect that ITG calls "a light-catching tawny peach that makes your skin look a little more mattified, moisturized, sunned, and flushed." Now that sounds like something we can all enjoy. (Into The Gloss)
Tory Burch Divine Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette, $48, available at Nordstrom.
