Don't let the Duck Dynasty incident fool you — there are plenty of positive, realistic depictions of the LGBT community in the media today. Just consider the lengthy list of GLAAD Media Awards nominees, which was just released. Over 130 films, TV shows, singers, magazines, and more will be recognized for their "fair, accurate and inclusive" representations of the community.
Among the nominees are Lady Gaga for Outstanding Music Artist, Dallas Buyers Club for Outstanding Film, and Orange is the New Black for Outstanding Comedy Series. Tune in on April 12 to watch the L.A. show, and on May 3 for the New York version. Good luck to all of the nominees! (People)
