Red Lipstick (& General Sexiness) Banned From The BBC
comments

What's interesting about this incident is that it proves once and for all what we've always believed — that a simple swipe of red lipstick can instantly transform any woman into a sensual vixen. However, we have to wonder: Is the sexiness that's conveyed by a woman's crimson lips actually inappropriate for kids? That's where we draw the line and have to say that the BBC might be going a little bit puritanical on us.
No, we don't want to oversexualize young girls, but at the same time, forcing women to strip themselves of style or femininity in the name of censorship seems pretty extreme, especially in this day and age. And, hey — what about those sexy male TV hosts?
What do you think, readers? Do you think that the de-sexualization of TV personalities is necessary to protect children, or do you think that the BBC has taken censorship too far? (Daily Mail)
