La da dee, da dee, no Miley at the par-ty. Yes, the New Year got off to a sour start for Miley Cyrus fans in Miami Beach. On New Year's Day, Ms. Cyrus was scheduled to perform as part of the Miami South Beach Outdoor Festival but was a no-show at the event.
This was a big problem, not just for South Florida twerking hopefuls who suffered a sad kickoff to 2014, but for the whole team behind the Cyrus operation. A Florida concert promotion company claims to have sent $125,000 deposit to a woman who said she was Miley's booking agent to secure the musician for the event. But, when no wrecking ball swung into Miami on January 1, things got tense.
Now the promoters have filed a lawsuit against team Miley for accepting the cash but not delivering the talent. TMZ spoke with the woman who said she does not work for the late Hannah Montana but was the middle-woman for the whole operation. She claims to have forwarded the money to Miley's real agents.
The starlet's people told TMZ that she had no direct involvement in the matter. Yes, that is correct. Miley was not a part of or cause of any controversy. Maybe this is a New Year's resolution? (TMZ)
