Chewbacca Takes Us On A Trip Down Memory Lane

While most of us Star Wars fans breathlessly await the first official casting for J.J. Abrams' forthcoming sequel, one of the original players has decided to take us on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Peter Mayhew, who played furry Wookie and trusty sidekick Chewbacca in the original trilogy, has tweeted a veritable treasure trove of behind-the-scenes photos from the first three films.
Among our favorites is a svelte-looking George Lucas kicking it on set with Sir Alec Guinness. There's also a snap of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher getting all touchy-feely. And, there's Ford again, this time pointing a prop gun at his own head (probably after finding out the next day's early call time). An added bonus is the insightful and witty commentary Mayfield provides for each photo. If we're ever looking for a full-time caption writer, we know who to call.
If shooting Star Wars is as fun as these photos make it out to be, then Michael Fassbender, Hugo Weaving, Adam Driver, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael B. Jordan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alex Pettyfer, and Jesse Plemmons definitely have something to look forward to. Be sure to check out the rest of the photos here. Photo: Twentieth Century Fox.
