Paul Rudd Is The Next Big Marvel Hero

Paul Rudd's having a great holiday season thanks to Anchorman 2. After all, there's no better Christmas present than getting to douse yourself in Sex Panther and reunite with Brian Fantana. But, now it seems like his career is getting even hotter. There have been whispers for sometime now about Rudd stepping into the role of Ant-man, Marvel's next big superhero, but now we've got concrete proof that he's getting the comic book treatment.

The actor has been keeping mum on the whole thing — we spoke with him just last week at an Anchorman 2 event, and he insisted that any rumors about him donning the ant suit were just that: rumors. But, it seems that was merely a bluff, as Marvel just confirmed to Variety that Rudd has indeed been cast as Ant-man. He'll be playing Dr. Hank Pym, a scientist who uses subatomic particles to morph himself into a crime-fighting ant. The flick will hit theaters in July 2015, and we can't wait to see what Paul does with the role. (Variety)
