Every time we think we've got Renée Zellweger figured out, the lady throws us for a loop. Marrying Kenny Chesney? Random. Dating Jack White? Really random. Supposedly considering joining the cast of
Dancing With the Stars
? Really, really, really random.
It's the kind of news that had us checking the calendar to confirm that it isn't April 1. Reports just surfaced saying that the actress has been approached to lead a special season of the hit reality show that would include Oscar winners from different eras hitting the dance floor. (Speaking of which, has anyone spoken to Dame Judi Dench or Tommy Lee Jones lately?)
According to a "production source," the 2003 Best Supporting Actress has been "offered mega bucks to do DWTS and compete for the chance of putting the mirror ball trophy next to her Oscar." Right.
As odd as the news sounds, Zellweger's role in Chicago did prove that she has some killer dance moves. Whether or not she's ready to bring them to the small screen, however, is another matter. We'll have the spray tan and sequins on standby just in case. (RadarOnline)
