Temple Run: From Mobile To Motion Picture

Well, it's official: Inspiration really can be found anywhere — even in a smartphone game. Temple Run, that Indiana Jones-inspired endless running game is this close to becoming a major motion picture. That is, if David Heyman, Gravity's producer, can ink a deal with Warner Bros.
It's likely to happen, too. A silver-screen adaptation of Temple Run would make it the second smartphone app (and third video game in recent history) to get the Hollywood treatment. Angry Birds' film is due in 2016, and Michael Fassbender (yep, the one from Shame) is slated to act and direct a screen adaptation of Assassin's Creed. Whoever gets cast in Temple Run better start training now; there's a lot (like, a lot) of running in their future. Perhaps Lara Croft should be called in, eh? That is, unless Candy Crush Saga decides to head to Hollywood, too. That game deserves a strong female victor. (Empire)
