John Lewis’ Christmas Campaign Leaves Us A Blubbering Wreck

It's here, that time of year when we look for the first signs of Christmas — the lights on Oxford Street, the holiday cups in Starbucks, and the season's first John Lewis commercial. Last year, we thought we'd never stop crying after watching that snowman brave the wind and rain to see that his special someone had just the right gloves and scarf, all while Gabrielle Aplin's "The Power of Love" played in the background. We're tearing up just thinking about it.
This year John Lewis surpassed itself and enlisted Lily Allen to lend her voice to Keane's hit single "Somewhere Only We Know." It provides the soundtrack to the story, "The Bear and the Hare," which charts the rather unlikely friendship of the woodland creatures. As the two prep for the holiday season, the bear has to do what all bears do in the winter: hibernate. So, the hare chooses a gift that it hopes will be perfect for its friend on Christmas. We'd tell you more, but our vision is momentarily blurred with tears. Click through to watch for yourself, and let us know if you're as big a softie as us.
