We don't know about you guys, but most of our family gatherings are not what you'd call street-style opportunities. So, we're pretty impressed with this pic from the Obama family's church outing yesterday. Obviously, Michelle has the classy-meets-fashionable look down, but it's clear that Sasha and Malia have come into their own, sartorially speaking, over the past few years.
Michelle and Sasha both went for head-to-toe amethyst ensembles. When has mother-daughter matching ever looked this good? MObama's over-the-knee boots are possibly the coolest footwear choice a FLOTUS could make. They're not typical first-lady territory, for sure, but she pulled them off in an age-appropriate and awesome way. And, Malia dabbled in a little print-and-texture play that we heartily approve. Her statement coat by Tracy Reese and lacy scalloped skirt are just grown-up enough for a 15-year-old, but not too mature or stuffy. We're definitely taking a few notes for our next family photo opp (and there are plenty on the horizon, thanks to the impending holidays) — though we'll probably reserve the OTK boots for ourselves.
