Ever since Short Hair Madness hit, we've been predicting an inevitable period in which women everywhere collectively attempt to grow out this notoriously hard-to-grow-out crop. Charlize Theron is officially not going to be one of those women. She apparently knows the secret to post-pixie success: Growing out the top of the hair first. After all, the hardest part about growing out short hair is that the sides and the back grow longer first (since they have a shorter distance to travel) and one is frequently in danger of entering mullet territory.
The top of Theron's hair — long, soft, side-swept — is the perfect solution to this problem, and all of us short-haired girls should take note if we decide to go back to longer locks. Also worth noting: The pink undertones of her shimmery nude lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush are positively lovely. She's just winning everything right now.
