With a mere week left until Katy Perry's new LP Prism is officially released, the leak machine is on overdrive. We've already heard the anthemic "Roar," the trap-pop "Dark Horse," the '90s redux "Walking On Air," and now, thanks to a leak, the album's power ballad (and second single), "Unconditional."
The atmospheric synths complement Perry's soaring vocals, while the driving percussion element elevates the song to an emotional powerhouse. Seems like Perry is really pouring her whole self into this album — she's experimenting with new sounds and has most definitely ditched the candy-coated pop that made her the darling of the Top 40 charts. But, she still hasn't lost her tongue-in-cheek sexuality. Just one listen to "Birthday," another leaked track off Prism, and you know she's not talking about a cake from the bakery.
