You may have noticed that we like to listen to just about everything James Vincent tell us to do. He's our go-to makeup artist for beauty things that require a little extra hand-holding, to put it mildly. So, when we saw his latest post on Beautylish on how to use household products as skin-care treatments, we paused to consider printing it out and framing it for our homes. We haven't ruled that out: With tricks that utilize non-beauty supplies from the office, kitchen, and bathroom, this is every DIY beauty enthusiast's dream.
We want you all to go read the whole thing yourselves, but we'd also like to take a moment to address one trick Vincent mentions: the herbal laxative steam facial. It sounds crazy, but we've actually heard this one before — Rachel Fleit, creative director of Honor NYC, told us about it while we photographed her in her apartment. She has one of the most radiantly glowing complexions we've ever seen up close, but even so, we were skeptical when she mentioned her Swiss Kriss trick. However, now that we've heard it from two sources that we highly respect, well... Just know we've cancelled our Sunday brunch plans in favor of something a little more private.

Check out the entire list of tips, and let us know if anything surprises you. We'll just be over here using a no. 2 pencil to fix our brows — you'll see what we mean when you read the piece. (Beautylish)
