This Is How MAC Does Halloween — That Is, Awesomely

It's hard to believe that Halloween is approaching. Wasn't it just yesterday that we were slathering on the sunscreen and complaining about the heat? Luckily, there's nothing like some out-of-this-world Halloween beauty inspo to immediately switch on our festive spirit — and that's exactly what happened when we saw the photos of what special effects legend Rick Baker created in collaboration with MAC.

Our first thought when we saw this picture, called "Bride," was that it's too scary for our taste. But, forever on the endless quest to stop being wimps, we tore our eyes away from the model's bloodied sutures and became instantly captivated by her lipstick and brows. What if we want to do our makeup like this on a regular old work day? Because we do, we really, really do.

All in all, we really have to hand it to Mr. Baker. We're thoroughly impressed with how gorgeous yet terrifying this creation is. And, as for the makeup? If we're itching to buy the lipstick even after seeing it in this creepy context, there's probably nothing in the world that would make us not like it.
