Jay Z And Beyonce Earned As Much As E.L. James Last Year

In case you weren't already aware, Jay Z and Beyonce are filthy rich. Between June 2012 and June 2013, the pair pulled in a combined $95 million, according to Forbes' annual highest-earning celebrity couples list. They also topped Forbes' list last year with their combined income of $78 million. And where did they get this extra $17 million bump in cash? Part of it is due to Beyonce's Mrs. Carter world tour, which grossed an average of $2 million per night. Jay Z’s Watch the Throne tour brought in $1.4 million per night, and his album also went platinum.

Bey-Jey also had a firm leg-up on their Forbes list competition, earning $15 million more than the number-two couple, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. Still, they can't compete with the current reigning queen of pop, Madonna, who brought in $125 million by herself in the same time period. And they only tied with 50 Shades of Grey author E.L. James, which is nothing if not surprising competition for the world's seemingly most powerful pop tastemakers. Hopefully, Blue Ivy will turn out to be a star writer, too.(Forbes)
