At long last, the moment we've all been waiting for has arrived: The District Flea, brought to you by the team behind the Brooklyn Flea, makes its debut on Saturday. To say we're pumped about what's coming to the corner of Ninth Street and Florida Avenue NW is an understatement — business partners Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby have scoured the mid-Atlantic region to find the coolest vintage purveyors, crafters, artisans, and collectors. From Baltimore-based Dylan Design Co.'s gorgeous handcrafted furniture and lighting, to colorful D.C. neighborhood maps from Cherry Blossom Creative — plus plenty of vintage vinyl, local food, coffee, and secondhand duds — you're guaranteed to find a treasure around every corner. So, cancel your Saturday plans (admit it, you were probably just thinking "brunch + hangover-recovery," right?) and plan to hit the launch of our new favorite weekend pastime.
When: Saturdays through October 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Launch date is Saturday, September 14.
Where: 945 Florida Avenue NW; no phone.
