We've seen some crazy gift bags in our time, but this one from
Allure
really takes the cake. Tonight marks the brand's annual Best Of Beauty Awards fête, and we've got your sneak peek at what event attendees will be walking away with. Or, rather, dragging away — a 70-lb. suitcase crammed full of 140 beauty products worth more than $3,000. Jealous yet?
The Best Of Beauty Awards are the mag's crowning achievement, so it makes sense they would want to go all out on the swag bag (we're obviously using the term "bag" quite loosely, as this thing is closer to a steamer trunk than a gift bag). A team of beauty editors spends months poring over tens of thousands of products, consulting with industry pros to suss out the categorical best beauty products, many of which are peppered throughout tonight's gift bag. The winners will be announced at the event tonight, and will be featured in the October issue of the mag, which hits stands on September 17.
The sheer scope of this goody bag is overwhelming. Having attended the event before, we can't begin to tell you how surreal it is watching the beauty elite stream out of the event rolling their stuffed suitcases and trying to heft them into the backs of cabs. But, then again, we wouldn't expect anything less: When you're known as the Beauty Bible of the mag world, you've got to bring your A-game on the swag front. So, for all of you headed out to the awards tonight, do us a favor and stretch beforehand — we don't want anyone pulling a muscle or throwing out their back lifting this behemoth.
