We'll let you in on a secret: Between sending thousands of emails and jumping in the closest cab to rush us to our next presentation, we find solace in the little things during Fashion Week. Yes, that means beating a level (or four) on Candy Crush; adding a colorful, glowy filter to our Instagram photos; and even glancing at a ridiculous text from Mom that's too precious to ever delete. And, we're not the only ones.
If anyone understands the need for a some micro-me time, it's the designers whose collections are on the line this week. And, even with both hands full, they've filled us in on their absolute favorite things inside their cell phones. From pictures of cute kids to adorable pictures of cats, and, of course, Words With Friends — word nerds in the house! — this is your look into the personal phones of some of the coolest designers of the moment...snapped right from the palm of their hands.

"My favorite thing on my cell phone right now is my Instagram app! I love sharing photos with my followers, getting their feedback, and seeing what all of my friends are up to! Some may say that I’m addicted!"

"Without a doubt, my favorite thing on my phone is Words With Friends. Have to limit myself to first thing in morning and last thing at night or I'd be checking my games all day and never get any work done! Best score in a single turn: 182! Advice: Always take one last look before pressing the play button."

"My favorite thing is a picture of my parents — my mom is pregnant with me and they’re in Hawaii. My parents believe in maxing out everyday. Especially during runway week I need that reminder to take things one day at a time and live in the moment…"

"Whenever I have a tough day at work, I look at this photo of Yoshitomo Nara's work from his Pace Gallery exhibit. Nara is one of my favorite Japanese artists, and his cynical girls tell it like it is: 'Life is always hard; let's move on!'"

"My lock screen is my favorite photo of my father and I on vacation in Kyoto during Hanami season. We came across the best hidden sakura viewing spot while walking through an otherwise empty neighborhood. My mom captured this moment of pure happiness: My dad and I creating our own confetti party, throwing handfuls of cherry blossom petals into the air."

— Monique Lhuillier

"How precious is this outfit! When I have a moment, I like to snap a picture of my daughter and look at it throughout the day. It's always the most important thing in my phone"
— Nanette Lepore
"I was in Italy with my family when I received this anonymous text 'from Mark Ruffalo' wearing my suit in my office. He was getting ready for a movie premiere and wanted my opinion on the look. At first, I thought it was my team playing a joke, but it turns out it really was Mark, and it was his idea to surprise text me. I'm still in shock! I love his movies, like The Kids Are All Alright."
— Todd Snyder
"My favorite thing on Instagram is @donalddrawbertson
. Mr. Drawbertson is a prolific artist who constantly posts his latest creations — and there are many! They might be cut out collages à la Matisse, reworked pizza boxes or grocery bags, illustrations incorporating duct tape, series that seem to be part of a children’s book, or quick sketch lineups of fashion figures in repeating looks — all in amazing colors. The sheer creativity, spontaneity, and insouciance of it make it something I look forward to checking out."— Trina Turk
