Meet the Hermès basketball, the $12,900 hand-stitched ball officially unveiled today in celebration of the luxury brand's grand opening of its new Beverly Hills store. Ditching the company's own classic orange (which is ironically pretty similar to the color of an official NBA Spalding ball), the French fashion house went with a swimming-pool blue. And, even though Hermes U.S. CEO Robert Chavez asserts the ball "certainly can be used for play," we wouldn't want this guy to end up in your neighbor's yard.
