Jane Cosmetics Does Gold Liquid Eyeliner Right

Remember the makeup brand Jane from the '90s? Well, it's back, with a heartwarming rebrand that emphasizes women helping women. I was the lucky recipient of some of its fun, brightly colored new products, which I immediately fell in love with. My favorite thing, though, was waterproof gold liquid eyeliner. So, despite the fact that it was a work day and metallic eyeshadow is generally a going-out statement, I decided to test it out.

This was a really good decision. The liner brush is very thin, so I was able to build up the thickness of my line. It's the prettiest, brightest gold ever — not bronzy at all — which I'm into, and I was really impressed with how intense the pigment is. I did a thick line on my top lid and brown eyeshadow on the lower lid, with a ton of mascara. As I learned, gold eyeliner is totally work-appropriate, at least if you work at Refinery29, which is how the idea for this post was born.

I can't wait to play around with this liner some more. I love the idea of gold makeup for fall, and it's going to look very autumnal with a dark-berry lipstick situation.
