Just when we think we have Lady Gaga’s how-to-shock strategy figured out, she goes and throws us for a loop — this time not with the over-the-top theatrics and costumes, but rather, with a noteworthy team-up. We’ve come to learn that nothing is really off limits for the singer, but we weren’t ever expecting a collab with legendary Oakland rapper Too $hort. For Bay Area rap fans, Too $hort is about as iconic as you get, so this musical fusion is definitely a bit puzzling, albeit amazing, so hey, we’re going with it.
According to MTV, Lady Gaga revealed at the VMAs that the two are coming together for a track off Gaga’s latest album ARTPOP. Too $hort hasn’t heard the full song yet (he worked on his track separately in the studio) but he does know that the singer is planning on premiering it at an upcoming awards show, so we’ll just have to tune in. Too $hort couldn't be more stoked, telling MTV, "It's a big deal for me."
