It's no secret that we're all about girl power here at R29, so when we heard about a little something called the Go Girl Travel Network, we just about started packing our bags. GGTN is a super-cool online resource to empower and inspire women to travel solo and make each trip an experience — not just another margarita-filled vacation. But before you log onto the website and type up a colorful memoir of your voyage to Thailand, make your way to the Gallery Bar this Thursday, August 15, for the Go Girl Travel Network Chicago launch event.

Starting at 7 p.m., you can mix and mingle with fellow travel enthusiasts while learning all about Go Girl — including upcoming activities and events in the Chicago area. Of course, it wouldn't be a global-themed fete without the food, music, and giveaway prizes to match. Trust — you'll leave with a serious case of wanderlust.
