It's Friday afternoon, and we're taking a major walk down memory lane. Thanks to the latest news out of Comic-Con, we're reminiscing about our favorite '90s alien hunters from The X-Files. This week marks the 20-year anniversary of the show's premiere (okay, we just aged ourselves), so to celebrate, the cast and crew reunited in San Diego for a little Q&A sesh. Beyond the obvious reunion probes (sadly, it doesn't seem like another flick is on the horizon), Mulder and Scully's alter egos got down to the ahem, nitty gritty, business.
First off, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny let it slip that a secret Scully-Mulder sex scene exists somewhere in the show's archives. "We shot it, we shot it. It's somewhere," Anderson admitted in response to questions about whether the characters had ever done the deed onscreen. When asked what Mulder and Scully would do if they ever went on a date, Anderson quipped, "Have sex." Duchovny, ever the gentleman, quickly chimed in: "Then maybe dinner?" Now, we know that The X-Files ended years ago and that it's time to let it go, but we're totally psyched that we're not alone in our imagined sexual tension between our two favorite truth-seekers.
