Just when our collective society is beginning to recover from the terror that was baby high heels, a new product has been unleashed. Enter Baby Bangs, a realistic-looking headband complete with a fully styled coif of forehead tresses. The inventors of this trend claim that dressing your baby in fake bangs will prevent anyone from mistaking your precious little princess for...god forbid...a boy. Now, in full disclosure, this writer was born with a record-level head full of hair, but we can't imagine that there are many women still reeling from the trauma of being mistaken for an infant of the opposite sex. And, if today's parents are so concerned about their baby's gender identity, what's wrong with a good ol' fashioned bow fastened to your head? (Motherlode)
