Model, muse, and now portrait subject, too. Your favourite clotheshorse, Alexa Chung just added an extra line to her CV— as if it wasn’t lengthy enough. The first to star in luxury e-tailer, MyTheresa’s series of video portraits, Chung chats openly about personal style, inspiration, and attitudes towards dressing. Despite being intimidated by her faultless sartorial ability, we're totally on board with what she has to say.
Like the rest of us, she openly admits to having an uncontrollable shopping habit. (Thank goodness.) “I am a shopaholic. I don’t know, there’s something about the process of feeling like you’re collecting a gem [that] I really enjoy. The way I shop is kind of instinctive, but also impulsive.” She goes on to speak positively about recreating others’s style, saying, ”If you are emulating someone's style it's going to be different, because you have a different attitude, face, and haircut.” Phew, we feel miles better about our Alexa-clippings collection, now.
This is only the first in a new string of monthly vids from MyTheresa, profiling all your favourite fashion faces. And sure, we love the concept, but we just hate the idea of waiting four entire weeks to see what's next.
