Whether it’s a new dress or a new dresser, we’re always pining for one-of-a-kind vintage finds. So, suffice it to say, we’re thrilled that NoVa's secondhand haven Stylish Patina is launching its monthly Rough Luxe Marketplace on Friday. As exciting as it is to uncover something special at an estate sale or thrift store, we’re especially glad that sharp-eyed owner Kelly Millspaugh Thompson has done most of the heavy lifting for us.
Taking place at a warehouse near the shop's Falls Church location, the monthly shopping events will be themed — the July event, for starters, is designed around a "vintage Americana" motif. In a nutshell, it's the perfect place to pick up that piece you didn’t even know your nest was missing. We’ve already caught glimpses of vintage crates, a 19th-century shop sign, and even a lobster trap-turned-coffee table. Hey, you never know — sometimes, a piece with a past life is just what's needed to bring some new life to your digs.
When: Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, from noon to 5 p.m.
