By the Hammer of Thor, the official trailer for Anchorman 2 is here. They debuted a teaser a month ago, but the plotline was a mystery. Now we have context, something to keep us satisfied until it opens December 20. We've got a gut feeling this is going to be good, and while Will Ferrell and a scantily clad, mustached Paul Rudd pique our funny bone, we're more excited about Kristen Wiig's role.
Our favorite funny lady plays Steve Carell's socially awkward, nerdy counterpart. We're not movie oracles over here, but we're betting ten bucks these two date — or at least share an awkward/funny/should-I-be-laughing-at-this make-out sesh. Meanwhile, the 70s are over and a new, younger, more attractive anchor (the forever-young James Marsden) has come to replace Ron and co. The legends of the news room (and their salon quality hair) will have to fight to stay relevant, but honestly, when have they never not been? (HYPEBEAST)
