Jay Gatsby Meets The 21st Century In “The Wolf Of Wall Street” Trailer

Either Leonardo DiCaprio is becoming a type-cast kind of actor, or there's something going on in the zeitgeist that has him pegged as the quintessential super-rich New York elite, with slick-backed hair, a penchant for partying, and a serious relationship with Brooks Brothers suits.
Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street follows the true story of Jordan Belfort and how he scammed investors out of nearly $100 million. "The year I turned 26," DiCaprio says opening the trailer, "I made $49 million, which really pissed me off because it was three shy of $1 million a week.” How Gatsby of him. There's no star-crossed lovers theme going on here, though. The only love DiCaprio's character has in this film is for Benjamins — lots and lots of Benjamins. With Kanye West's latest single backing the debauchery, we think we've got the less romantic, more smart-ass, dark-comedy version of The Great Gatsby on our hands, and that makes us greedy for more. We've been itching for a good Wall Street drama since, well, Wall Street.
