First Wintour, Now Wu: Fashion’s Newest Artistic Director Is Jason Wu

Jason Wu and Anna Wintour have more in common than sharing the pages of Vogue these days. Beginning June 15, the New York-based designer (and FLOTUS favorite) will assume the role of artistic director for BOSS Womenswear.

Like Wintour's position at Condé Nast, the artistic director position at BOSS is entirely new and will have Wu overseeing his team at its German HQ, opening a flagship store in New York, and continuing to develop his own design label, too. "I have long been a fan of HUGO BOSS’ vast tradition and lineage in
extraordinary tailoring," Wu states in a press release. "With the state-of-the-art facilities that are unique to the
HUGO BOSS design labs, I plan to develop a strong, feminine womenswear collection that reciprocates the brand’s authority in menswear."

His first collection will debut in New York during the pre-fall '14 shows.
