The New Girl star took her first crack at directing a music video for the indie duo’s Volume 3 single, “I Could’ve Been Your Girl,” and she completely blew it out of the park.
The retro-inspired vid features Zooey boogie-ing with her crew while crooning to M. Ward (guitarist and She & Him’s other half) as he attempts to nonchalantly sip coffee and read the paper. Shots of Zooey petting a wooden duck and hitting a beach ball highlight that goofy vibe we love her for, and totally put a smile on our beginning-of-the-week face.
