Terry Richardson is no stranger to playing both photographer and model. His face is as known as the celebrities he shoots, but seeing Richardson as a hand model? Now that's refreshing (maybe). By now, we're used to seeing Terry Richardson's digits in the thumbs-up position, but this time, he's got one hand on the shutter button and the other clutching some bright-red Valentino.
In a surprising twist of fashion fate, the Italian house chose the notorious photographer to model and photograph their Rockstud line of shoes and accessories. If elegant and edgy was the goal, they've succeeded — though the controversial photog himself isn't the height of demure class, he's known for hanging around some very well-respected people, so the atmosphere at a Richardson-endorsed party is always a little of both. The house designers, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, have said the images show “the sensual yet elegant nature of our accessories, described as objects of desire.” We have to agree with 'em. Though, it should be said, even with Terry's tattooed arms on the scene, we're hesitant to predict a spike in the man-clutch anytime soon. (WWD)
