We've been touting the foodie scene in Chicago for ages, but now it seems the rest of the country is jumping on board. According to the latest Munchies Awards (a sort of James Beard for casual grub), Chicago took home almost all of the top honors. The Windy City beat out eating heavy weights like New York, Los Angeles, and Portland, with Bar Toma winning Best Pizza and The Butcher & The Burger winning best burger. Big Star, Black Dog Gelato, and Intelligentsia also took home honorable mentions. Even though we've been content to enjoy our eats scene quietly, we have to admit that it feels good to finally get some recognition for all of Chicago's tasty dishes.
