On Monday night, Alexander Wang and menswear style bible Mr Porter came together to celebrate their second exclusive collaboration. The collection launches on June 4 and as buying director Toby Bateman explains, “It’s nice to have a capsule from him available at a time when other shops will not have a lot of new stock, and nothing new from him.” We couldn't agree more.
The brand’s appeal has always been in fierce androgyny and sleek, urban minimalism — and when it comes to Wang’s signature T-shirts and sweatshirts, we’ve always oscillated between buying from the men’s and women’s sections. Hey, we like to wear an oversize sweat top from time to time. So, we’re sure this collection, when it gets here, will have our fingers twitching for our wallets. Till then, we’ll just have to make do with the fantastic T-shirt selection available on the site now. Oh, what a shame. (WWD)
