And who better to predict upcoming luxury leaders than Walpole, the trade body that's been in the business of top-tier, British luxury since 1990.
Among the honorees is R29 fave Imran Amed, founder and editor of Business of Fashion. He joins other fashion brands, including Goat, a womenswear brand favorited by Kate Middleton herself, and Private White V.C., a menswear label. The selected companies will receive mentoring from Walpole to develop their businesses in the luxury sector as well as an online platform to sell their goods. If Walpole's choices are any indication of our future shopping habits, they're doing a great job of justifying our current splurges on ASOS and Net-A-Porter. (WWD)
