It’s Here! It’s Here! Céline Finally Opens Its Doors In L.A.

The latest sartorial trend in Tinseltown? It's not another fashion fad for your closet, but the much-talked-about storefront wrapping that comes before the merch. Everyone from Isabel Marant to Neil Lane has teased Angelenos with their beautiful banners — so, not to be outdone, Céline's cheeky, flamingo-trottin' campaign has been keeping its 319 North Rodeo Drive boutique under wraps — literally.
But, good things come to those who wait! The two-story advert has finally been removed and the doors to Phoebe Philo's third U.S. store opened this past weekend (the brand promised a March opening, and it delivered — right under the wire!). Naturally, the architecture and design of the new digs reflect Philo's minimalist aesthetic, with sparse decor and a muted palette of whites, grays, and beiges. The 3,100-square-foot space, sandwiched between Miu Miu and Montblanc, currently features a seafoam-colored divider that separates the front of the store (prominently displaying handbags and ready-to-wear) and the back (featuring shoes).
