Graduate Fashion Week Gets A Makeover, Evolves With The Times

In today’s tumultous job market, one needs to think of every trick in the book to grab the attention of prospective employers. That must be the idea on the minds of the organizers of Graduate Fashion Week, as it has just been announced that the format has been remodeled. Gone is the long Gala Award ceremony and instead, each day of the four-day event will showcase the works of the nominees from three to four award categories.
There will be a Graduate Fashion Week show followed by a shorter award ceremony with the aim that as much of the award-winning (and nominated) works by the graduating students gets seen by recruiters. The show runs from June 2 to 5 at Earl’s Court 2. We can’t wait to see what happens to the new-gen designers who benefit from this schedule change. Break a leg, everyone! (Vogue)
