We’re always down for a lazy-afternoon picnic complete with gingham blankets and wicker wine baskets, but sometimes the unwelcome critter invasions and a major sun OD can cramp our style. So, for those of us who aren't exactly besties with Mother Nature, Beckley Boutique is bringing the alfresco indoors.

The new Third Street spot will be celebrating its latest Beckley by Melissa collection with a chic evening picnic, hosted by "City of Style" author Melissa Magsaysay. We’re talking scrumptious Cool Haus ice cream sandwiches, cocktails served in charming Mason jars, and picnic-friendly hors d'oeuvres, all conveniently close to the designer's breezy silhouettes (our faves are to the right). Plus, no biting ants in sight — sounds like an ideal outing to us!
