Remember that time Stephen Gan called your cell and was like, "Hey, you need to get to Milan Fashion Week. Now." And then you hesitated and said yes anyway. Of course not. There was no hesitation...okay, fine, there was no personal Gan invite either. But, in the case of Ivan Olita, editor-at-large for L’Officiel Italy, this fantasy experience turned into a real-life trip (jealous?). And in an exclusive video for V magazine, we get to virtually go along with Olita on the journey.
From the looks of this flashy-and-fun video diary, the Milan Fashion Week experience is as hectic as a circus, Halloween night, and opening day of the Barneys Warehouse Sale combined. Thankfully, our fearless, friendly, and — hello, Ivan! — cute leader also stops to smell the roses interview the real design stars, including Karl Lagerfeld and Donatella Versace, to find out which one item they believe a woman should keep (the answers are probably not what you'd expect). Watch ahead for all of Milan Fashion Week shrunken down perfectly into less than three frantic, beautiful, V-sign-dropping minutes.
UPDATE: We've made it. We're on the last leg of Fashion Month in Paris. And, to soak up the last bits of inspiration, Valentino is letting us peek in on the show tomorrow, streaming live from the City of Love. Just be warned: The show starts at 2:30 p.m., meaning 8:30 a.m. ETS. Set your alarm clock accordingly.
