DIY Valentine’s Day Cards, Revisited

2-hearts
Remember the excitement surrounding Valentine's Day at school as a kid? Cupcakes, conversation hearts, and those little paper pouches you made to hold all your V-Day cards? While you no doubt received your fair share of those commercial types with the candy attached, the most memorable ones were handmade with glitter, heart-shaped doilies, puffy paint, the works.
So, instead of picking up a commercial card for your valentine this year, retreat back to your childhood with with a sparkly DIY number — the grown-up version. How? Nordstrom is holding a Days To Delight: Valentine's Day Card Decorating Class on Saturday, February 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It'll supply all the cards and supplies (call to reserve your spot!), and you supply the creativity. Even better, it's free of charge — just like the good old days.
Nordstrom, 55 Eeast Grand Avenue (between Wabash Avenue and Rush Street); 312-464-1515.
