Sushi, Anime, & Socialites — The Ultimate Recipe For A Perfect Bash

A rotating parade of sushi rolls and edamame, anime on the big screen, and a manga artist doing portraits? If not for the copious sightings of British gals about town, we might have forgotten for a moment that we were in Marylebone rather than Japan, last night. At the My Flash Trash launch party, we got in on all the action, celebrating the jewellery site's exclusive launch of the three-piece Tokyo Trio watch line from Casio.

Clad in a killer black leather skirt from AllSaints, My Flash Trash CEO and founder Amber Atherton was the mistress of ceremonies for the Japanese-inspired affair at The Study, where buzz-worthy singer/songwriter Syron spun tunes and a well-dressed crowd jockeyed for elbow room at the sushi bar courtesy of Itsu.

Award-winning manga artist Chie supplied complimentary anime-style caricatures of the guests, who bridged the gap between East and West with Made In Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue and The Only Way Is Essex's Lydia Bright both in attendance.

Oh, and obviously, cocktails (supplied by Martini Royale) were freely flowing. Speaking of which, Bright told us that she'd only tried a martini for the first time three weeks ago but "it's my new favourite drink." And while the Essex girl has yet to make a trip over to Japan, she's eager to get over there and see some real Harajuku girls soon.

Those may have been in short supply last night, but with Leah Weller and presenters Laura Whitmore, Zoe Hardman, and Lilah Parsons in the house, who could complain?
