Chanel Throws The Chicest Gay Wedding, Right On The Haute Couture Runway

Karl Lagerfeld may be the master of turning heads for whimsy runway creations, like the hula-hoop bag and pearl freckles, but in today's haute couture show, the clothing was not the only thing making a statement. Showing support for French President François Hollande's same-sex marriage bill, Lagerfeld ended his spring '13 presentation with fanciful, frilly, matching wedding dresses worn by two doting brides-to-be.
Escorted by the coolest Chanel model under four feet, Hudson Kroenig, the brides sashayed down the runway, forgoing veils for feathers, as Lagerfeld trailed close behind. Kudos, to you, Kaiser Karl, for once again proving that fashion is not just beautiful and inspired but also a vehicle for social justice. (The Cut)
