If ever there was a fashion dream team, it might look a little bit like this: Wang taking the helm of Balenciaga...with Carine Roitfeld styling. And while this mash-up of fantasy big-hitters might sound too good to be true, perk up, because the trio is (at least, rumored to be) real...and the output of their efforts will be equally fab.
What this means for Wang is more of a serious presence in the European market (thanks to Roitfeld's gravitas). The brand implications are also major, because this might mean Balenciaga's longtime go-to girl, Marie-Amélie Sauvé, is out. But alas, new beginnings also mean new endings, as well.
